So, a Yeti isn’t just a Himalayan folklore creature – it’s an online casino too. Who knew?
But despite the odd choice of name and theme, we’re only interested in the experience – good or bad.
So we created this Yeti Casino review – which looks specifically at 5 key areas. Read on to find out if Yeti Casino is legit. You’ll also be able to read real player reviews from people who have played there.
1. Is Yeti legit?
Yeti casino first launched in 2017 and is one of 9 casinos owned by L&L Europe Ltd. The site aims to take an informal yet transparent approach to gambling and is themed after the snow-bound Yeti.
The company is based in Sliema, Malta and is privately owned. This means members of the public do not own shares in the organisation, nor are they traded on any stock market. This is to be expected from a smaller company like L&L Europe Ltd.
Being private means the organisation could in theory be less transparent about certain aspects of its operation. However, they have acquired licences from some of the strictest bodies in online gambling.
These two bodies are the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. They require casinos to keep player data safe, for their games to be audited, to have their random number generators inspected, for self-excluded players to be protected, and a whole host of other protections and regulations to ensure fair and safe play.
2. Yeti customer support (help when you need it?)
Like any good business, casinos should be there for their customers when they need help. When push comes to shove, the only way for sites to do this is by having good customer support services. Not all sites do, so this is always something you should look into.
Yeti casino claim that they have a ‘high trained and dedicated team’ of customer support staff waiting to help with your needs.
They currently have four different methods of contacting them:
- Live chat
- Contact form
The Yeti live chat lets you talk to a support assistant in real-time so that you can get help immediately. This service runs 7 days a week, between 8 am and 1 am. When we tried to contact them at Gamblermaster, they were relatively speedy to reply and with helpful answers.
Their telephone support operates a similar schedule. So, although it’s not 24/7, you can actually speak to a real person on the phone which is rare.
Their email allows you to get help at a slower, more leisurely rate. Probably better for longer complaints or where you can attach screenshots of problems.
Lastly, their contact form allows you to send them a message from their website, but it is just an email.
Overall, Yeti’s customer support is good, but it could be improved by 24/7 access. Also, there have been a few complaints about their service (which you’ll see below).
3. Bonuses & free spins (what’s on the table?)
Casinos should be focused on providing their customers with a quality service. One area where good, legitimate casinos do this well is promotions. If the promotions offered by a site are generous, fair, and transparent, then you’re at a legit site. If they’re too good to be true and the terms are opaque, then try somewhere else.
At Yeti casino they have several different promotions for their customers, including a welcome offer, random weekly bonuses, cashback bonuses, and tournaments. They have loads of slots and games from several providers to use these on.
The Yeti welcome bonus is designed for their new customers. When you sign up to their site then you can get free spins on registration no deposit UK. This allows you to try out their games before depositing your own money. If you do decide to make a first deposit then Yeti will give you 100 Extra Spins, along with a bonus of 100% up to £111.
New customers only, min deposit £10, wagering 60x for refund bonus, max bet £5 with bonus funds. Extra Spins bonus has x40 wagering. 23 extra spins on registration (max withdrawal is £100). 100% refund bonus up to £111 + 77 extra spins on 1st deposit. No max cash out on deposit offers. Welcome bonus excluded for players depositing with Ecopayz, Skrill, Neteller. Full T&Cs apply.
This bonus is a ‘refund bonus’, which means the casino does not give it to you as you deposit. Instead, you have to deposit, play, and lose your own money. The casino then refunds you that sum of money (up to £111) the following day.
This isn’t so bad, but it does mean that you’re using your own money first. What is quite bad, however, are the wagering requirements attached to the bonus money. The bonus money comes with wagering requirements of x60, which is much higher than many of our best first deposit bonus casinos UK.
To highlight how unreasonable this is, consider winning £20 in bonus money. To be able to withdraw that money you’d have to wager £20 x 60, which is £1,200. And, you’d have to do that in 30 days. That’s a very large sum of money just to get yourself a £20 bonus.

4. Yeti verification
One unmoveable piece of UK legislation is that all players must have their accounts verified by the casino before playing. All casinos in the UK have to do this, so if a casino doesn’t ask you for verification (or advertises their site with ‘no verification needed’), then you should avoid them. They’re not a legitimate site.
To verify your account, Yeti will likely ask you for the following documents:
- Photo ID
- Utility bills
- Bank statements
These will allow Yeti support agents to confirm your identity.
Yeti claim that once you’ve sent the necessary verification documents, they “move as quickly as possible to verify them and process your withdrawals”.
The problem, however, is that whilst Yeti claim they move as fast as possible with the verification process, this doesn’t always mean it’s actually that fast – as you’ll soon see below.
5. Yeti Casino reviews from players
If we take a look at Yeti review from casino players around the web then we should get a better idea of what people think of them. This will then allow you to get an idea of whether Yeti will be good for you and whether you’ll have a positive experience.
So, how do Yeti fare online? Well, judging by their TrustPilot page, things don’t look great:
As you can see, Yeti currently have a ‘poor’ rating of 1.8/5 stars. Moreover, what stands out as particularly bad is the percentage of negative reviews that they’ve received:
As you can see, 96% of the reviews for Yeti are rated as ‘bad’ and 0% of people have left an ‘excellent’, ‘great’, or even an ‘average’ review. This doesn’t bode well for any future players, and it would be enlightening to look at some of the complaints in more detail.
Customers appear to complain about slow verification processes, for example:
It appears that, if this customer is correct, that the Yeti verification process takes longer than it would take to make two deposits (and presumably play with them).
This is a sentiment echoed by other customers:
As we can see, here another customer complains about a very long verification process, whilst yet another customer complains about them too:
What should we make of all of this?
Well, first of all, two things are important to bear in mind when looking at consumer reviews.
Firstly, consumer reviews are usually negative. That’s because reviews are more likely to be left by people who are annoyed rather than people who are happy. This is especially true online.
Second, the sample size is only 23 reviews whereas thousands of people play at Yeti each week. This means more than 99% of people’s opinions haven’t been heard.
But because so many complaints have been directed at the verification process, it’s probably best to assume this will be slow. Make sure to have updated documents to try and start things off properly. But you could be waiting around for a while even so.
Payouts also seem slow. So if you would prefer then you could try an instant withdrawal casino UK to try and speed things up.
Yeti Casino review summary
Overall, Yeti is a legit and trustworthy site. There are definitely a few things to work on, with a faster verification team at the top of the list. The welcome bonus could also be improved as the wagering requirements are ridiculous quite frankly. Many of the best online casino bonuses in the UK have much fairer terms.
Nevertheless, there were plenty of positives at Yeti too:
- They have a good selection of slots & games
- PayPal is accepted
- They are one of the few sites with a phone number for customer support
- One of our top UK online casinos at the moment
If you want to try out Yeti, then head over to their site and see what you think. Once you’ve done, then come back and leave a review.
